Dr Andres Mesa is a music producer and an expert in the latest AI sound engineering and recording enhancement technologies. Andres has over 15 years’ experience in recording studios around the world and a PhD in Sonic Creativity.
Originally from Colombia and residing in London, Andres has worked internationally with artists such as David Gilmour, Annie Lennox, Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay (Roxy Music), Paul Simonon (Gorillaz), Tony Allen (The Good, the Bad & the Queen), Kanye West, and Jay Z as well as several independent artists, in studios such as Abbey Road, Metropolis, Gallery Studios and British Grove.
In the last few years and while researching for his PhD, Andres has become one of the world’s leading experts on using AI to enhance studio and live recording. Using machine learning, neural networks and other AI technologies, Andres has innovated new composition and sound engineering techniques, and has built deep knowledge of the latest companies and innovators in this sector.
In addition to his hands-on experience, Andres is a skilled educator, recently training around 500 students in sound engineering to strengthen national talent in the Middle East.
